How much does it cost to rent an e-bike in Bali?
UNIKAT e-bike rental starts at Rp 400,000 (~$23) per day for 1โ2 days. For 3โ6 days we offer a promo rate of Rp 300,000/day (~$17). A full week (7+ days) is Rp 1,750,000 (about Rp 250,000/day, ~$99), and a month is Rp 4,500,000 (about Rp 150,000/day, ~$254). The longer you rent, the lower the daily rate. Helmet and lock are always included.
What is included in the e-bike rental price?
Every rental includes a premium Polygon e-bike, a safety helmet, a sturdy lock and a fully charged battery. You also receive a short handover briefing on how to operate the pedal-assist system. Optional delivery and pickup to your hotel or villa can be added at checkout.
Is there a discount for long-term or monthly e-bike rental?
Yes. Rates drop significantly with duration. The 3โ6 day promo is Rp 300,000/day, weekly rentals work out to about Rp 250,000/day, and monthly rentals are about Rp 150,000/day โ the best value for digital nomads and long-stay guests. Contact us on WhatsApp for custom quotes on rentals longer than one month.
Is a deposit or ID required to rent an e-bike?
A valid passport or ID is required for the rental agreement, and a refundable security deposit may apply depending on rental length. The deposit is returned in full when the e-bike is returned in good condition. Our team confirms the exact terms with you when you reserve.
How do I book an e-bike rental?
Use the booking form on this page โ choose your rental period, number of bikes and whether you need delivery โ or message us directly on WhatsApp at +62 859 6040 1552. We confirm availability and arrange delivery or pickup. We recommend booking a few days ahead during high season as bikes are limited.
Do you deliver the e-bike to my hotel or villa?
Yes. We deliver across South Bali. Delivery and pickup within 20 km is Rp 300,000 (~$17), and over 20 km is Rp 500,000 (~$28). You can also collect the e-bike free of charge at one of our partner locations โ just select that option when booking.
What areas of Bali do you cover for e-bike rental?
We serve the whole South Bali region including Nusa Dua, Uluwatu, Jimbaran, Seminyak, Canggu and surrounding areas, with delivery available further afield for a small surcharge. If you are unsure whether we reach your location, send us your address on WhatsApp and we will confirm.
Do I need a driving licence to rent an e-bike in Bali?
No. E-bikes are legally classified as bicycles in Indonesia, so no driving licence or International Driving Permit is needed. This makes an e-bike a safe and legal alternative to renting a motorbike, where riding without the correct licence risks fines and voided insurance.
What kind of e-bikes do you rent?
We rent premium Polygon e-bikes with reliable pedal-assist motors, quality disc brakes and comfortable geometry suited to Bali's roads and light trails. They are well maintained, serviced between every rental and ideal for riders of all experience levels.
How far can the e-bike go on one charge?
On a full charge our e-bikes typically cover 40โ70 km depending on the level of pedal-assist used, rider weight and terrain. For most day trips around South Bali a single charge is more than enough. For longer stays we explain charging, which uses a standard household socket.
Are the e-bikes suitable for beginners and are they easy to ride?
Absolutely. Pedal-assist means the motor supports your pedalling, so hills and longer distances feel easy even if you have not cycled in years. We give every renter a short briefing on the controls, brakes and assist levels before you set off, so beginners feel confident from the start.
What happens if the e-bike has a problem during my rental?
If you experience any technical issue, contact us on WhatsApp and we will help troubleshoot or arrange a replacement bike as quickly as possible. Because we maintain our own fleet, support is fast and local throughout your rental period.
